Paver Sanding and Sealing
Joints cleared, pavers cleaned, fresh sand locked in and sealed.

Paver Sanding and Sealing
Moss and spent sand come out of every joint, the pavers get washed back to the colour they were laid in, then fresh polymeric sand goes down and locks hard. Sealer on top holds that colour and slows the next round of growth considerably.

Questions
Common questions
Why does the joint sand need replacing?
It washes out over time, and once the joints are open moss and weeds get in. Replacing it is what stops the growth coming straight back.
What is polymeric sand?
Jointing sand that locks hard once it is wetted in, so it stays put and resists growth far longer than plain sand.
Do I need the sealer?
Not always, but it is what holds the colour and slows the next round of growth. Colour usually comes back several shades once it is on.
How long before I can use it?
Keep off it for about 24 hours, and keep vehicles off for two to three days depending on weather.
Will the colour change?
It comes back closer to how the pavers looked when they were laid. Sealer deepens it rather than altering it.
How often does it need doing again?
Every three to five years depending on traffic and exposure.
